8" midrange driver

My new car has 8" mids in the front doors, choices are limited, any suggestions anyone?

Whats up homie! How about some scanspeak illuminators? Maybey mount them on a thin spacer to make room for mag? What kind of rearward clearance do you have?

I think icant go beyond 3 3/8" inch- i fund some morel mw 266, 3" inch voice coil- ( ive always liked the Ti elite 6"

The volvo version of the dynaudio 8s are cheap and are pretty nice

shoe horn the Ti Elite 9 in there. Only need an extra half inch on either side.

My question would be what other locations do you have up front? If you can fit them the morel 3-way set sound amazing. A bit of coin though. I think my old shop is clearing them out. I can check for you if you want. Or the hertz hsk 163 3-way set like I have have a 6 that has huge mid bass output. Better than most 8's I think.

I have ti 6.5s, when i wenttotake my newA3front door oanels off to pit thise in, I was shocked to see they put a 8" mid driver up front, so i may consider a motel 8", only 2.5 deep, theres another location i can put a 3.5" or 4" in

Thanks for everybodies input, a buddy of mine had 2 Skar Audio 8s@4 ohm ,& put those in for now& AMAZING being pushed by a Ti500.4

Hey Denim, for 40 bux, why not? They sound pretty good, id like to get the morels, but they only make them in 8 ohm :((

someone just posted some xmax 8s in the classified. Not sure how they would do in a door running mids but they would look perty.

I second the Silver Flutes. I have 8" Flutes in the front of my Corvette. You can get them from Madisound. Easily found with a quick Google search.
