Glutton for punishment.

Bought a new truck a few months ago and am thinking about upgrading the system. Thought I'd check out PG's components/coaxials at the local dealer. What a mistake.

I can't forget the sound from those Elite.65cs Components  :fap:

What made it worse was the guy 'helping me' had originally said they were the Ti's. He corrected himself later when giving me pricing. Which by the way    !

So you didn't like the new ones? What line were they if not ti line. I'm not familiar with PG speakers, I'm more into the amps.

Which speakers did you like, the rebadged morels?

No I liked them. Actually I LOVED them. I am pretty sure they are the latest Elites.

Edited my original post to minimize the confusion.

The Elite.65cs are their flagship components, top of the line. MSRP is around $450-ish if I recall correctly.

I personally run those. They sound amazing, especially the tweeters.

Am going to be getting an EOY bonus and am debating on whether to upgrade speakers or add subwoofer first. If I decide to do speakers, what would a good price for the Elite.65CS be? I've read a few forums which talk about getting good pricing if you hit the right dealer. I have one dealer 90 miles that has given me a price, just want to make sure its a decent one before telling him to order them if I choose to upgrade speakers first. Any insight?

The thing of it is I could probably get a subwoofer setup (box, amp, sub) for the price of just those speakers

I have the same set ran off of an M100 right now and love them. Next I am going to ditch the passive crossovers and try out the M100 on the mids and an M50 on the tweeters.
