What amplifier should i use?

Tommorow im finaly start putting amplifiers in my car but im having problems finding out wich im going to use, im using a 6.5" component speaker in the front and 10" 4ohm dual coil subwoofer.

I was thinking of using my Orion 97.1 concept (XTR475) because it got 4channel and then i can use only one amplifier but i dont know if it is strong enough for the subwoofer wich is an Focal P 25DB 250watt i dont know if the watt is per coil or both coils.

My other option is awesome but i dont know if my 105amp alternator agree with me, im thinking zpa0.3 on the sub and zx400ti on the component speakers with this setup i can use both my sdt-ti.

Im also going to install my tba1,bass cube and audio control DQX if i find the room, i can get a Alpine Imprint PXE-H650 cheap does anyone know how good the alpine imprint is compared to the Audio control DQX?

I think that im going all Phoenix i can exchange the zpa0.3 with a zx600ti or 600titanium but the zpa sounds great on subwoofers, hope i can fit it all in the trunk lol

Just out of curiosity. Why not the 400.2 on subs and that bad boy sq zpa on the fronts. And I think the alternator should be just fine. Maybe 100a if going all out. A good batt and you should be fine. I'd go zpa fronts and 400.2 for sub duty. You could use an lpl then too. :D

while i too would run the zpa on front stage and the ti400 on the sub, rest assured if you do decide to run the 97.1 it will hammer the piss out of that sub!!!

I got two lpl so i will make sure i use one on the sub channel, when it comes to the tba it is from the HU to the DQX and i hope it will help me with my noize problem im also going to put in a capacitor.
Thanks for all the input i will go for the all PG setup :-)

Another vote for the 0.3 on the fronts and the 400 or 600 to the sub. I think the sub is rated overall. I've never seen a sub rated per coil.

Thanks for your reply its my first dual coil subwoofer so i was not sure how they are rated, im sorry to say i could not fit the zpa and zx in my trunk because of all the other stuff going in there i used the Orion 97.1 because it takes less space.
Im using two channel on the front and two on the subwoofer i got separate wires from the sub hooked up to channel 3/4 each coil is 4ohm is it better to run it in lower ohm and bridge it?.

I see in the manual on the xtr475 that bridging is selectable via signal jumpers but its only rated in 4ohm, in the hcca150 manual there are many instructions for the concept 97.1 but i dont understand the power rating because it is only rated in 25watt in 4ohm.

All the noize i had is now gone and i have not hooked up the tba yet so the sd 500.4 must be to sensetive, the component speaker sound much better with the orion then with the sd500, im almost done in the trunk i have to hide some wires and hook up the rca but the i also got to change headunit and hook up the tba in the front i cant wait to im finished i think it will sound great.

I will take some pictures tommorow :-)

I think the concept series was meant to be a cheater amp, so it's rated 25x4 at 12.5volts. When you are up to 14 volts likes like triple the power. I don't want to tell you that it's ok to run it at 2 ohms mono, but I don't think you'll have any issues as long as you bridge it right. So this model requires a bridging module? That's not uncommon for older amps, especially for Orion's. They are not like modern amps where to bridge all you do is wire it up right. Old amps have a module or a switch to change between stereo and mono/bridged mode.

It do not need a bridging module but the pins jumpers got to be in the right position in the manual of the hcca150 it says the concept 97.1 should be able to run 1ohm bridge without changing the pins jumper but im not sure and without a fan i would not run it under 2ohm.
Im a bit confused when it comes to the manual in the hcca150 the pin layout and dvx2 crossover board settings are right but i dont see how the ratings can be right when its a xtr475 board in it, maybe they have changed something but im not sure.

Here are some pictures of the trunk i got to connect the tba to the audio control and bass cube and hide the wires, i think im going to guide the wires behind the board and make holes where they need to go so i still got much work but i think it be good when im done.

Thanks,i hope i can hide the wires and move the bass cube up so i can get the amplifier closer to the wall i need the space because im planning a road trip to Europe in the summer and i need all the space i can get back there.

With the zpa and zx on the floor i would have to be carefull not covering the fan vents, this way i can use the trunk, i need to hook up the tba because now i got to have the sensetivity almost on full i think it will sound alot better with the dqx and bass cube now im using the 97.1 crossvers.

if you need a little more room you could consider making a brace for the orion so that rather then being flat on the floor the back side would be raised up so it would take upless floor space. It would make it super easy to hide any extra wiring behind the amp and then it also opens up the possibility of adding a simple neon tube or some strip led lights behind the amp shining up on the gear behind it.
