What do you need repaired?

I have 2 amps in need of repair.
A ZX 450 that I've owned since '98 that has channels cutting out.
A ZX 600Ti that I bought used 9 years ago that now pops when turned on, and fires my sub out of sync with music.

My priority is to get the 450 fixed 1st.

The ZX450 sounds like a problem with a control pot. On those amps the crossover control will often cause the problem you are talking about. You can try turning it several times fully in either direction, then back to where you want it to see if the problem improves. You could do the same with the gain control.

On the ZX600Ti, that issue may be a broken RCA jack. If the ground breaks the amp will do strange things. Try pushing the RCA connector around while the amp is on to see if you can recreate the issue on demand.

Thanks, I will try that with the 450.

The 600Ti isn't being used right now. I got a really good deal on a ZX500 ($75), so I swapped the amps.

You can also check the ground buy just taking a small piece of wire and pulling the rca out, and then reinsert it with the wire between the inner/outer shield. Now put that wire to ground and if there is ground issue with that rca the noise will stop.
