for those that know i scrapped the system in my is300

well i finished the system and today i really got to play with it.
first of all i had two xmax 12s in 2.2 cubic ft sealed stuffed (and unstuffed)
with pollyfill.

at first i listened to it and when i made the box it sounded good.
nice and tight and very smooth.

thsi was a while ago. now i finally layed all the glass to make my panels
and it came out really nice. all the ms amps have the blue leds in them
(my mq430 looks pimp)

so this after noon i again auditioned the system. first my doors.
they sound really good. good vocals and smooth transitions inbetween
notes(after all that damn deadning it paid off) my midbass kicks ass
and im using jl audio xr mids and highs.
treble is a little bright but can be adjusted. plain and simple the mq430
is a really nice sounding amp.

now the bass......ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh i fuckin hate it.
why in the world did i even think about going sealed..yeah it sounds smooth and tight but it aint loud. i run a ms2125 bridged so each 12 is getting roughly about 250 watts.
so i thought that maybe it was needing more power. so i hooked up one
ms2125 to each 12. well hell it make a difference but then the speakers
looked like they werent gonna take it anymore. so now im at the volume
i want but the speakers in that box gave out...
back to square one. so in disgust i rippped everything out and i mean
when i said ripped shit went flying(exept for equipment.)
so i remeasured my trunk and figured with a little design change i can
squeeze 3.4 cubic ft gross. well fuck going sealed. guys my friends one
ti elite d ported running 800 watts blows my two 12s in ouput.
this is the third sealed box i ever built for myself. the first one was for
my 18 w6s that went alohas after about a month...then i ported that bitch
and damn it felt good. second is for my bmw
so now im thinking of doing my elite 12 and run two 2125s to it.
so tommorrow i will build a new box for my woofer and hope it dont take me 6 months to finish it.
so today finally made me realize that sealed is not for me
although my box for my four 12s sealed slams pretty good in my bmw
and i can live with that because it has good extension and decent output
but in my lexus it was okay but didnt exite me at all. i had my elite 12 ported and it had better low end extension and output then my two 12s sealed. also it was very transient and tight.

sorry i had to vent. i was so pissed so i will hopefully be a busy bitch
tomorrow.

no because i was gonna detail the car and put the grounds on before
i took the pics. it was nice though, the blue leds are bright.
i feel kinda stupid for not taking the pics but i was so mad
because i swear when i built the box it sounded better then it did
yesterday. i didnt break the box though but all the panels and theamp
rack went airborne.
im hoping my ti elite at 2.75 tuned at 30 will give more of the bass im
looking for. when i graph the two woofers on bass box

the two xmax sealed kill it in output above 50
but anything below is 50 is stronger on the elite but the ouput is still
less then the two 12s sealed...yet my friends one 12 elite running 1k
is pretty damn loud. i would be happy withthat but im debating
due to the complexity of the box, there is alot of cuts to make.
i may have to figure something else out.

First problem-- 2 Xmax's sealed. They do not play low to begin with, so of course you will not get the low's you want.

vas,qms,qts,qes,fs of the ti elite.

the box program has different specs(actually the qts is different than in the owners manual) and the dwon load on pg site is down so i cant verify
