Does anyone here work on eq's. It won't power up and the fuse is blown. Tried another 1 amp fuse and same thing. It had the correct 2 amp fuse inside. lmk thanks.

Power supply probably took a dump...just hope it is not the transformer as they are impossible to source.

I use to work at a shop that had a great tech. They are not PG specific but if the same guy is there they could do it. The shop is in Scottsdale az.

Is there a way to test the power supply transformer ?

First I would check for the any shorted transistors....perhaps that is all that is wrong with it. Post a pic and I'll point the ones out you need to check/test. They are 2n4401's, two of them, tied to their base is two diodes that should be checked/tested also tied to the transistor's base pin is a 100ohm resistor make sure they are good/not open.

Check the IRFZ44's (the two TO220 transistors)...right above U3 3525 IC. If they are bad you will have to check their gate resistors which are 47ohm and replace U3 for safe measures.

Can these be tested in the board ?

Sure...one thing I might add is that moving the EQ board (the one with all the sliders) will cause some pins on the wire ribbon to break right by the solder joints of either boards. This will cause either channel to go out on the RCA output. So try not to move it around much or if possible remove it completely (unsolder the slider board). This happen to both EQ's I repaired and I was very careful, perhaps they were weak from someone else being inside and dicking around with the slider board. I went ahead and replace the ribbon cable on both of my EQ's because of this...you can still use the old cable just have to re-strip it and make it a 1/4" shorter.
