I want to keep my deck/dvd changer so
I own a 3 way speaker set 6.5, 3 and tweeter phd mf6.3
Car vw 2003 gti
I own 4 jl 8w6 and or orion 15" svc hz bass
Same a nt sub
So what would you use i own a alpine f1 mrvf900

I would get a better sub amp and use the 8W6s for sure.

my last stereo ran 4 8's and it was fun but often left me wanting more bottom end and I am now planning on doing a 15 in the next stereo.

really eric I would think 500 plus watts rms should be fine for either set up? the amp is tested at 143.8watt per channel so bridged I will see 500plus

Think 15 inch sub, old JBL GTI suits well for playing music, fantastic sub, but one problem, need a big ported box. 8 inch sub cant play well bottom.

I agree about the 8s lacking low end. I had 3 8w6s in ported box in a Toyota xtra cab power by a mtx 2300 they hit but not like a 15. Might be a little different in your car.

so im going to try the 15" orion I down graded my front stage also im just going to use my clarion sss601 I have a set in my suv and love them
I think the lack of low end will drive me crazy and I might have found a guy that will pay 225us for my 4 plus shipping
