Phoenix Gold Phorum

Anyone ever seen or heard of one? I think I read somewhere, that a black one of these, was a test subject for PG.. any truth to this? Total OEM looking silk screening. Did not look like a back yard homemade job.

The MQ slipped out of my hands.. seller sold it out from under me. Karma for him. I was a little upset. Not the first time it's happened.. but it still sucks when it does. Some people.. no sales ethics whatsoever.

Not the one off fb. Mine totally looked black.

What's the fb page I keep you guys mentioning? I think I might be missing out on buying goodies off there.

phoenix gold for sale page look it up

If it was the one on eBay it was actually dark green. It went to the guy that has the matching 275. It has finally been reunited with its long lost brother after all these years. It is posted with its match on the pg classifieds to show it off.

If you are a member of Facebook search for a group called Phoenix gold classifieds. That's where a lot members from here have disappeared to. Much more activity there now.

Well, just goes to show that some take crappy pictures hehehe. Looked more black then green. I had emailed with the seller... he didn't comment on my color question, nor mentioned dark green vs black. Guess he ended his auction early with an 'off the books' offer..

What's the story with this pair then?

Apparently they were done by PG for a specific install. Not sure how or why hey got split up but they did. Both amps are missing the bottom plate and endplate so they were likely pushed together in their install. I think the new owner is getting a copy of the magazine article from the original install.

I wanted the amp too. When I heard where it went I was totally cool with it. It looked black to me too.

Back then if you wanted it pink with purple stripes they would do it. I have often wondered how much they charged for custom options now as I wish they would do it again now that I can afford to have it done.

Pg charged me exactly 100 bucks to have an eq230 done in the franked theme to match my fas and 406... had i known what i do now, i would have ordered about 10 ms2250s... a team shrouded franked amp would be legit!
