Advice on incorporating my EQ215x into the system

I am going to be using some different amps soon as they arrive and pulling the ZPA out (cause its sold...BUT not paid for yet)

I am wanting to use the EQ 215x I got in the new setup...

Should I run the signal off the deck (ALpine 9835) flat and bypass the decks crossover? ...just run it full range unmodified to the EQ?

Why is it the EQ (and most of them I have seen) only have 1 input?

I am going to run a 2 amp system..

1 ARC 4150xxk bridged 320 x 2 to my ELite comps..

1 ARC 1500xxk 700+ to my 10inch RSD SUB...

thats it....small front stage and small sub...

Should run the signal from deck to EQ for front stage and just run signal from deck straight to SUB amp and bypass the EQ

or is there any reason to use the EQ on the sub>?

The amps are loaded out with Xover and stuff .....I could probably run the whole sheebang off the 4150....but then I would sacrifice the extra juice..

I will most likely sell the amps anyhow...knowing me ....and run the ZPA's

but for now I need to try out these ARCs...

EQ has one input because it is best to EQ your full signal at one time and then do whatever crossover options you plan.

If you just want to use your 215 for EQ duties, and use the amps for all the crossover bits, then you could do what I was planning to do when I had mine.

You can't bypass the crossover in it, so put a 19 Hz Rnet chip in, and send the high pass output onwards. It'll give you a bit of subsonic filtering, but send everything else to to amps ready for them to do the XO work.

well....I actually wonder which is better ...the crossover oon the EQ or the crossover on the amps?

I would think the crossover itself would be better than the one in the amp as its dedicated to that only and not amplifictaion but thats just my guess

I am going to use the 215x and see how it does..
