hope of having tantrum 1200.1 repaired?

I picked one up yesterday, and it's non functional. I did a little searching around and I seen that the man running altser has passed.

Since that's the case, is there another source for having tantrums repaired? Is altser still doing business?

I'm not even sure the tripath is shot, but since nothing on the board is burnt, I'm assuming.

I believe ZED took over the repair department for PG. I could take a look at it, if I can't repair it then I'll offer to cover return shipping.

What do you charge for the diagnostic? I have a lead one a new tripath chip. I haven't bit the bullet since I'm not sure if it's the problem

No fee if I cannot repair...if repair is possible then it will vary depending on how many components I have to replace and if they are available (more than likely they will be). I wouldn't charge you more than 90.00 (without purchasing the tripath, if tripath needs to be order than you can order it or pay it's cost.) you cover return shipping if repaired, if not repaired then you pay nothing and I'll cover the return shipping.
