I am wanting to use 2 sets of 6.5 components. I want som.ething that is super clean but that will not completely break the bank. I dont care if it is old school and I have to hunt for it because it is not easy to find. Several options will be great. I am not sure which amp or amps I am going to use yet but more than likely either a M44, Ti 475, other option maybe if I can get my hands on one would be a MQ430.

nah be original and do a limited edition amp. I have a roadster66 that would be perfect for the componants and a sub.

The mq430 is a sweet amp but it isn't that much power

Well I don't own a ms2125, I would like too. Any suggestions on component sets.

If I went to an LE it would probably be an octane or outlaw.

Do you own any of the three amps that you stated?

Ha that didn't take long. Have all of them been recapped I am not sure about the ti if it needs recapped. The 2125 doesn't have a xover so you would need one if your hu doesn't have one.

I ran one on 2 comp sets and did great. They put out a lot more power than you think. In fact I am using a 430 in my new truck.

I am good I have a crossover the 2125 has been recapped supposedly I will verify once I get my hands on it. The M44 is in the process now and the Ti475 needs to be capped.

What I am really interested in is some recommendations on components. Those were just the amps that I could use for the setup. I have been out of car audio since around 97 when my son was born and just now getting back into it

Are you looking for old school or new school components?

It does not really matter. I found Phoenix Gold Ti 65CS for sale. I have read the reviews but you know reading that someone just got and someone that ran it over a period of time is usually totally different.

I used to run MB quart back in the day , but as far as components, I like the Hertz comps and if money is not a issue try out some Jl ZRseries components . Pretty impressive. Best bang for the buck is Hertz. In my opinion.

Back in the day we ran either MB Quartz, Infinity Kappa, or Polk Audio but beyond 97 I am clueless.

I am currently running Dynaudio. in the past ive run Boston pro and MB Quart Q series. I like the Dyn because of the smoothness of the silk done tweeter. plus the mids are really powerful. I loved the bostons and the MBs but my only complaint was with the harshness of the metal dome tweeters. Yes i could attenuate them, but its nice now that I dont have to.

I have some old school Titanium elite components coming (the Morel ones) and I am excited to try them out and compare them to my Dynaudio speakers. im willing to bet that they will be equally as good. if so then I might just leave the PG speakers in to match my PG amps, wiring, and eventually the sub.

as for the MQ-430, they are great amps. much more powerful than they are rated. I modded Brandons amp, I put in burr brown opamps, modern output transistors, and upgraded power supply caps. I also replaced all mini caps with Gold audio grade caps (Nichicon fine gold). The amp was previously modded by Valeks (RIP) to bump the power buy adding windings on the transformer, and then directly wiring them to the mosfets, also adding in the removed additional caps.

I killed the funds with the purchase of a Titanium bass cube, M100, and a MS2125. So it will be awhile before I can get anything else. I would have purchased the M44 that ZTwenty8SSR was selling but he has not got back to me since last week. I think the next thing I will be hunting for is an ugly M44. By ugly one that the case is either extremely rusted or trashed but still works.

And RSD500.4 would work too.. not pricey.. engineered by the MS/MPS guys(apparently). I have one that I would part with.. need to replenish the slush fund the Dentist raped :). PM me if you're interested.. same as for speakers.
