Has anyone used plasti-dip to paint amps?

I have several zx and zx/ti amps I am going to use in my install that is taking forever to get done. They have different finishes and I would like them to match. I was thinking about painting them with plasti-dip since it is removable. Has anyone tried this? Anybody have an opinion or suggestion about if it will work?

I think it would be too thick, and the sheet metal parts would no longer fit together.

That stuff may act like a blanket and cause the amp to retain heat.
