xs amps recap
Hi
Sorry if this has been answered somewhere else but i cant seem to find a def answer, i have a chance to buy a couple of xs4600 quite cheap ( person had them running in his car with no problems ) but i am wondering do these suffer from the same cap problems as the other pg amps.
Thanks

Re: xs amps recap
If you post a photo of the circuit board, we can tell you. There are several amps around that age which do not require a cap change. There are also some amps which do if they have certain caps, and don't if they have others.

Re: xs amps recap
Please take some photos of the caps (smaller ones) near the power input terminals of the amplifier.

Re: xs amps recap
I don't think you need to worry about any of those caps. They are not the ones well known for failing.

Re: xs amps recap
XS amplifiers were after the batch of bad caps. I think I only recall one person finding a bad cap on an XS amp.
XS2300, XS2500, XS2300, X200.4, X100.2, Ti21000.4, Roadster 66
