pg's fb page

Post by ttocs »

I can't believe on PG's own facebook page what they would write about the one:
"Most likely the last piece available in the world. The life's work of the largest of the largest, the Gordon Taylor Doctor Amp and his flagship "THE ONE" 12,000W monster from the old school. At that time, the materials used had not yet been spared. Among other things, a whole 3 ounces of gold is used. Only 50 pieces were produced for the USA and another 50 pieces for the remaining market. Aside from the various scamers that occasionally appear on the internet and ask for payments exclusively through western union I don't know of anyone who should have this piece for sale. A real rarity with a hard to estimate price. Number 46 of 100"

Even they are so out of touch with what they have made now to advertise they used 3 oz of gold on the amp...... I commented that it wasn't right as teh 2010 price of gold when this came out would have been close to $4k worth of gold, in an amp they sold for $6k. Its a 3 oz, gold plated board but it does not mean that 3 oz of gold were used.
what else can I say I am a grumpy asshole most of the time.

3oz of gold don’t mean shit.. unless 3OZ of pure 24k was stated.. saying 3oz of gold is like saying.. OVER-THERE!..

I can’t believe that they are promoting a amp that’s not relevant anymore.. not saying nothing bad about it, but more so saying it’s dated...

I just spoke with Gordon, he didn't design the amp. My understanding is that it's an S & I design.
