Hi All!
I was recently offered a ZEN9 PG amp through a friend of mine and while I have been in car audio over 15 years (not the side that would need 8 A/b channels) and am aware of most products in the market, the ZEN9 was not one I was familiar with. So after some searching (yes I have read everything in this forum regarding the history of the amp) I do recognise it’s significance and “on paper” it looks to be a magnificent piece of work.
Due to the limited supply of these on the market I have not seen any reviews or any feedback from users of these. As I understand most went to dealers and key customers, some ended up in high-level installs.
While I am not really looking to install the amp or use it (I got out of the car audio business a couple of years ago) but it seems like a great collector item.
Am I wrong? The price I am getting is better than those I have found on past second-hand transactions. Not a huge difference but seems to make sense on a limited edition amp of that design.
Are ZEN9’s still a thing
Re: Are ZEN9’s still a thing
if you can pick it up for a nice price it is a nice amp. I have one but the sub channel needs some work and I have not got it repaired yet to try it out. But now it is a big sob, you will be dedicating some space for it if you do use it
what else can I say I am a grumpy asshole most of the time.

Hey, thanks for the reply in my thread, I was almost thinking this place is done for.
So off all the people, I think you have more info on these amps than anyone - I just got back from my trip to get the amp (it took way longer as our schedules were conflicting ) - and I actually have two ZEN9’s
The first one is #022 in a wooden box and factory package. This is the one we initially discussed and the one I saw pictures of beforehand. The second amp is #067 and it was a factory sealed box, but no wooden box (the packaging is smaller since it’s just the amp) the number on the amp matches the number on the factory cardboard box (#67 out of 121).
I got a quick hookup and listen test at a local audio shop to make sure everything was in good working order (I also picked up some BNIB x200.4’s and TI3 2000.1’s) . The ZEN9 sounds amazing! The difference is very noticeable vs an x200.4 and soundstream TRA960. Very much on par with a genesis a-class dual mono that the shop had. At least in the given circumstance.
I am also down to sell both of these for the right price (my deal was a relationship builder for other business )
Also on the Ti3 2000.1 mono - those never made it to the market it seems?

there isn't much traffic here, but there are some people that still pop in and out from time to time.
