Hello all

I am back after some time away from the phorum, Well if you dig threads I have 2 of these in my civic in the UK. The install is still the same as it was in the go photos. So 13 off years later of literally daily running. I decided to give them a clean. I am creating a video of these marvels of the whole process, few stories when Bill Hasbrook dismantled mine. I am wondering if Nico and others who had cyclones are still around. I need to ask some questions of anyone who has completely dismantled the cyclone. I need to know a bit more about the torsion rod and pics of the lower half dismantled if possible. Anyhelp or links would be great. Good to be back in here. I think I am on the offshoot Facebook groups from here. Graeme

Welcome back, Graeme! It's impressive that your install has held up for 13 years of daily use. Creating a video of the cleaning process sounds like a great idea. I’m sure it will be helpful for many. As for dismantling the cyclone, I hope Nico or others can provide the insights you need about the torsion rod and lower half. Any pictures or detailed explanations would be invaluable. Good luck with your project!

I was only lucky enough to work with one cyclone years ago but it was a fun trip to see it shake the car. Hopefully one of the pros will be around soon to help, I only installed the one I never took it apart. Looks like it has held up pretty well.

I really wish someone would take a deep look and see if they could improve them with modern parts and manf. I often wondered if they made a smaller version if it would go just a little bit higher than the 12", but still hit like the 12".... I know that isn't possible as they really did rock under 50 hz.
