got these amps with approx the same power laying around ..

alpine mrv-f300 (old school)! 4x50w (14v)
hifonics taurus x (fairly new, looks beefy!) 4x50w (12v)

how can i test them all one by one, apart from listening to them, is there a cheap way i can measure/test a channel and compare clean power?

hi fonics taurus
ampguts realmofexcursion com/Hifonics_Taurus_X/

mrv-f400 (not my f300)
ampguts realmofexcursion com/Alpine_MRV-F400/

i have to say the hifonics gets a LOT louder, its bigger, and looking at the pics, its just a better amp. used to own a zx450 and im pissed that i sold it, realising its so damn good.

how alpine compare with hifonics ?

i think u would definitely need and an o-scope to really measure and test each of those amps for its max clean output ....

but man, the hifonics is definitely more overbuild then the alpine anytime.

over in australia, you dont really heard of the hifonics brand.

this guy never even really gets warm when driven hard. i checked the ampguts website and it looks really overbuilt.

you dont really hear about hifonics on the forums either - does it have a good reputuation for rated power and sq ?

its really not popular back here too but we've had a lot of posts on hifonics in here and based on those posts i would say its quite a decent name.

hang on a few more hours mate, and we'll have all the regulars online, these guys would know more... :o
