Question for people running Exile comps

How low will the xtec's play and not distort? Right now in my car I am running an active set-up using Seas mids and LPG tweets running off of a Xenon 100.4. Since all drivers are 8ohm they are getting around 50 watts each driver. The mids are x-overed at 80hrz with a 18db slope right now, but they are not blending very well with the sub. When I drop them down a notch to 63hrz they sound better, until I turn it up, then the distortion starts. My doors are all ready heavily deadened.

Now, what I'm wondering is #1 can the xtec's play at 63hrz and not distort, and #2 can they take 200 watts per side if I bridge my x100.4? To be honest I'm sick of messing with an active system. I have a new install to do and it would be a lot easier with a passive system, plus I would not have to mess with x-over points and slopes any more. That is very appealing to me!

Thanks for the help guys!!

It depends on what is loud enough for you. I cross my Xtecs over at around 50-55Hz @ 18dB/oct. now and they play loud and clear. I am giving the set about 150 a side from the X800.4 and I am sure they can handle more. Morgan wanted me to bridge the amp to the comps! :)

Q1= Yes. Q2= Yes.

I had my set crossed at exactly 63Hz and running 200+ watts per side (X200.2). No distortion until I reached very very high levels of volume. I have the gain about 3/8.
