are these really as good as people say they are .. i mean under-rated maybe (2x50w and 2x80w respectively) but im probably going to go a zx450 if i can afford one.

look at these reviews, its a joke !!

i own an m25 as well and the bass end really impressed me, it's not so much the loudness but the way it delivers, clean, accurate bass like not many amps can do all from a 2x25watt amp!

I recently did a test on a M-25 for a member here and it easily produced twice its rating power wise. And for a 25 watter, it did sound very good, with solid clean bass.
Although its a small amp it has a loyal following, and I was duly impressed how good it sounded after 15 years with just a minor tune up and a new set of caps. Vin the owner was also happy with it :)

i had a zx475ti in my burb running 4 door speakers and i switched to my route66's m25 side running the same 4 door speakers
my conclusion is the m25 has better sound and more headroom than the zx475ti.

Crazy yes, but I have heard both in his Burb, and I would agree with him. It does sound much fuller than it did before.

I'm not saying it ain't true, I'm just saying that it's surprising if all you have to go on is spec sheets... but I suppose this is the truth of the entire audio world ;).

I agree, I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't heard it. I was super impressed with how it sounded in that big ass cabin. 8)

I must say, big cabins sound good :)

I really enjoy how my subs share the same "airspace" as my ears and the large cabin helps with the long bass waves.

Not to say a small cabin sounds bad or anything, but I do believe there are greater acoustic challenges in a small car, especially with subs in the trunk where they are mostly sealed off from the cabin.

As they are rated somewhat similarly, I suspect my M44 sounds about the same as the M25 when I'm not bridging it (like it is now) and it sounds full and great. Glad to know that others are enjoying their M-series as much as I do!

man i love these m series amps....... i would have never thought i would get this kinda sound outa that m25 over the zx475ti in my burb. i was actually thinking i would have to add a m50 to the route for my subs but after hearing the m25 side of the route on all 4 of my door speakers, i can run the m44 side to to each of my 2 jl 12w1's.

now i cant wait to get the outlaw installed in the blazer now :D

surely with all this praise for the m25, m50 would have to be superior again ? know that dr. fosgate uses an m25 as his reference but loves the m50s
