I need to replace a few capacitors in a car amp, The value is 1500uf and 50v. They are about 1.5 high and .5 thick. Made by Nichicon.
Can I use a higher uf value and voltage value or just a higher uf but keep the voltage at 50. Thanks

You can go higher in the microfarads but stay at same voltage.

i've used 25v ones to replace my 16v ones, as long as you don't use lower you should be ok....

Higher voltage caps will work, but you will get less capacitance at the lower voltage. I forget the exact formula though...
