AL amps should weight a bunch less than the steel ones, too.

The AL are also rough to the touch, while the regular TI are smooth.

If you pick it up and its so light that you almost throw it through the roof.

Pics are of normal amps, not AL.
Unless its some really weird lighting.

You'll have to send them to me to be sure.
How do you know if it weighs a bunch less ifin you only got one?
Use a fridge magnet.

Looks like it's missing some silk screening on the bottom. Terminals and such.

Hi,
You can tell the difference by the weight, the AL finish is very light compared to the steel finish and also this pic will help you:
The top light colour is the AL (aluminum) finish and the bottom one it the steel finish. The steel finish is heavier then the AL finish.
Also it says AL on the side of the box e.g: TI 1200.1 "AL" and also on the birthsheet. Plus the Ti1200.1 AL actually weighs slightly lighter then the Ti500.4 steel and you can pick up the Ti1200.1 AL with one hand.
Furthermore the AL versions do not rust but the steel ones do.
And this is someone elses pic:
