Looks to be relative of the adire woofer w/ the "Ultra low distortion XBL^2 motor optimized for low inductance & flat BL curve" One hell of a price.

D8 ohm??!! Weird!! Also, I wonder how much power it will take. Hell for $155 shipped you probably can't go wrong!

So? Keeps cost down instead of designing an entire new basket which would drive cost up. For instance take the IDQs V2 off the shelf basket, but some of the best subwoofers I have ever used, if not the best. If the basket works for the design doesn't matter unless you car about looks that much.
