Compare IDQ 10 vs RSD 10

Hi guys, give me your opinions. I'm torn between the IDQ 10 v3 and the RSD 10.

Here are some pics of the IDQ version. Has anyone listened to these new ones yet? If not how about the version 2 IDQ's?

There is a big price difference between the two subs and that might play a part in my final decision. I will have IDQ 6.5 dedicated midbass up front along with my horns. I want the best SQ with the most accurate bass notes and blending in with my front stage is important also.

What's your guys thoughts? I know some of you may be biased toward PG as i'm also, but I've ran the IDQ 12's before and I was very fond of those for the SQ.

Thanks,

Kevin

UPDATE: How about throwing in the xenon sub in the mix?

X10D2 or X10D4

From what I have read the Xenon is out. It has little to no output above 50Hz. For the price I would try the RSD and if it's not to your liking sell it. You might take a little hit, but I would start with the lower priced driver and if I was not happy then move on to the more expensive one. Just my .02 cents.

I would love to try the new IDQ's... they are just impossible to get up in the cold north.

The RSD's are an excellent sub. I like them more than my IDMax 12, FWIW.

The Xenons are the best sub I have ever heard on low notes, but as Tibbs pointed out, they have nothing above 50Hz... kinda like the Cyclones.

Thanks. I think I may go ahead with an RSD10 right now. Lot cheaper than the IDQ's and later on I may see if anybody has listened to the new IDQ's and might do the switch then.

I actually have the RSD10's and had the IDQ's.
I have a mixed opinion. The RSD's are fabulous for low bass. Its really makes the gut shake! But I found the Idq's are more SQ. The Idq's will drop low but they take very little wattage. I put just 150 watts to one of them and it farted and shit and croaked! If you really want a good blend between SQ and SPL Id do RSD. They can be put in a super small box and steal sound really good. If you want SQ be prepared to get a IDq 12 or 15 cause the 10's just cant take the wattage.
