Basscube Remote...... Can I build one???

OK, so there's a guy selling a basscube on Ebay over this side of the planet really cheap. Only problem is that it's the box only and has no remote or cable.
So, can I build a remote for it?? I've read that you can use an LPL44 for the remote and this will alter the boost, but you cannot set up the frequency of the unit this way.
Care to share your thoughts on this???
TIA.

um, you could potentially build anything. the Bass cube remote is quite a bit more complicated then the LPL
if you only use the LPL remote...it sort of defeats the purpose of the bass cube. you might as well use the Bass gain on your deck

That's kind of what I thought.
As for `you could build anything'.... I know this is true, but I've never had a close look at a basscube remote to know what it comprises of. Is it an LPL with another pcb mount potentiometer for freq adjust, or are there some more components than that required??
OR, anyone got a spare remote they want to sell??

All's good Brian.
I ended up paying a little bit more and found a cube with everything but the box. Hell, the seller even sent me a colour PG Brochure with all the processors in it!!

Now if only the other 5 of us that are looking for remotes were so lucky.
