line driver?

Could you use a line driver as a mini amp? I dont know much about them besides the fact they boast the voltage of the signal...which basically an amp does too.

Simpy put a Line driver doesn't have the outputs to run a low Z component, like an amplifier has to run speakers.

V = sqrt(I * W)
8 volts = sqrt(4 * W)
8^2 = 4 * W
64 / 4 = W
16 = W
If used at 4 ohms it would deliver 16 watts, assuming it handles the impedance... which it probably can't.
