one problematic area in FR

Right now with my system, even though I am going to re build the kicks soon to fit some hiqophon OWIIs in the kicks, is pretty much spot on besides one area in the FR. It's around 60hz to 200hz w/ my mids. They have plenty of mid bass for quick beats like common in hip hop or drums, but when it comes to longer mid bass notes like a bass guitar it's sloppy and sounds distorted. I cant figure it out either right now my guesses are
1.) choking the driver even though it shoudl have plenty air in my vented kicks
2.) Rear Waves even though it has some ensolite foam behind them
3.) Clipping even though it still sounds the same w/ the volume low, and I'm pretty sure my gains shoudl be fine but I never did re adjust them after putting the p9 in, but it did it w/ the drz too.
4.) I cna tame it by cutting the freq. w/ eqs but then when it comes ot other music it's cut to much.
5.) Resonance but they are mounted on 2 3/4" birch ply wood mounted to the frame w/ 2 layers of deadening...
6.) Not enough power? Has an x200.4 on it w/o a line driver to it, so the amp def not putting out the full amount of power, and the mid is 8ohms.
SO pretty much I'm stuck right here any thoughts any one
that can add to the variables for me to spend hours checking
