In my search of old-school 8" midwoofers, I have to admit that it was not easy.

What 8" woofers of today is usable for SPL, any suggestions?

Define oldschool? How old are you looking for. An old 8" subwoofer sounds right up your alley... they didn't really play low back then, so it would be an awesome midbass driver.

Old School: early 90s..

I have two Lanzar Pro series 8, which where the heavy-duty guys back then. But I cannot find any more of those out there, and there are not many 8" that I feel that can handle up with those Lanzars.

BUT.. I do not know all brands....

Brilliant! I love those woofers.

But I don't think they like to play too high... 120-150Hz maximum as I recall. What range are you trying to do?

Thank you guys for theese inputs.

Not so familiar with all those woofers, but I remember the Orion XTR series. They were quite cool I remember...

But IF I have to go for some woofers from today, any to suggest?

Remember, theese woofers will be put in a sealed box, and be a part of my SPL-install - driven in bridged mono by MS275.

PG Ti 9M, DLS Ir 8 or DLS Nobelium 8. Box has to be quite big for all of those speakers.

Maybe DLS is more to SQ.

Do you really need 8" speakers?
