I recently had a misshap with my rsd set.. While remounting the mids, the drill slipped, and the mid got messed up pretty bad.. Anyways, since pg doesnt just sale the mids, im possibly looking at the new comp set. I took a look at the pioneer prs comps, but i keep hearing horor stories about the tweets. Open to suggestions...

Suck it up and go active! Try the Seas combo that bdubs is talking about. I am running Seas mids with LPG tweets and loving it!

I was thinking of maybe keeping the rsd tweets, what does everyone think of that? Maybe run them active or something, if I decide to do so.. Mainly do to the fact that they fit nicely in my doors, and they swivel.. Still not oppoesed to passive sets.. Only thing is, ide have to get another amp..

They can be be almost $200 per mid, but they don't have to be. Here are the ones that I believe bdubs is running, but here are the ones that I am running. Sure I would love to try out the Excel's, but they are just not in my budget.

I was also looking at the peerless mids.. Ive heard alot of good things about them. May try something along those lines, and just use the existing rsd tweets i have in the doors.. http://www.madisound.com/catalog/produc ... ts_id=1604

Again I would ask bdubs about them, I believe he tried them out at one time. If your really thinking about going active I would check out DIYmobileaudio.com. They have tried out many different combos and would be able to help you out a lot.

Still not real sure if I want to pull the trigger on active.. May check to see how the accomidations on polks are looking to get the srs.. I would probably like to keep it passive, to keep things simple for now.

this is worth a shot.
call the service department, not sales.
I do know that dealers can't buy a set of mids...but the service department might have some from returns/repairs they can hook you up with
