I'm kinda new to all this ICE so I hope somebody out there will answer a simple question for me.

What is a Phoenix Gold MX2 2-way Electronic Crossover and what can I do with it?

My setup is M44 + M25 + EQ215x at the moment. Will the crossover be of any use to me?

-thanks-

You already have crossovers in the M44 and the EQ215x so you don't technically need it.

For info on your EQ125x crossovers refer to this documents:

For info on the MX2, refer to this document:

The main difference is that the MX2 uses potentiometers to set the crossover point whereas the EQ215x uses RNETs. If you don't know what an RNET is, it's basically a bunch of resistors soldered to a removable connector thing. By using different resistor values, you get a different crossover point.

Apparently the RNETs are more accurate than pot-based crossovers but they are certainly more involved to work with as you have to replace small internal parts to set the crossover point instead of twisting a knob.
