It's me again :D

My sister has a PG QX300.4 Black series (it runs in the family :D ) in her car and she has a sub (bridged) and two speakers connected to it now. She would like to run a set of extra speakers and the question is how? The manual doesn't answer my Q.
Does it matter what kind of speakers she uses?

Thanks a 1000k

power the rear speakers off the head unit?

she could run the front channels at 2 ohms powering both sets of speakers...but i dont think anything good would come out of it.

It would sound s****y at 2 ohms you mean?

So either she buys another amp or uses the HU but gets less power..?

it would sound bad so much as it would put addtional strain on the amp.

think of it like this:

the 300.4 makes 75 watts at 2ohms and 60 at 4ohms
the normal head unit puts out about 22wrms.

so she would go from getting 60 watts to one front speaker to 35 for two front and rear speakers.

so she would be sacrificing 25 watts to her front speakers to gain 13 watts to the rears...and more strain on the amp

Ok. Makes sense.

what sub is she running? she would likely get the best performance by powering all 4 speakers on the 4 channel amp and upgrading to a new sub amp.

She runs a 10" Atomic bandpass sub. Don't know any other details.
