The current situation is:

Ti6's, power by Ti600.2 or Xenon 200.2.

Xenon 600.1 Powering an RSD sub.

I think I am going to go for the 12", as you all seem to rate it better, and also because the required 0.5 Cu. Ft. for the RSD10 is impossibly tiny!! So I have a new question. or two.
Reading the manual for the RSD, it says .75 MDF. Would ply be any different, as I have this in large supply? also, it says about 1-3" of polyester matting, any thoughts on this, what do you use? My main question is however, the 1.2 Cu. Ft. required, is this box volume before or after sub installation, as obviously when the sub is in, the box will no longer be 1.2 Cu. Ft. if you understand me. Also, will I need to make the enclosure bigger for the polyester matting, so that the final box volume is 1.2 Cu. Ft, or do I make a box 1.2 Cu. Ft, then put the matting in, and then the sub? As both of these will reduce the volume by a fair bit.

Oh and another question!! The sub has dual 4ohm voice coils? how will I wire the xenon 600.1 to these? Will the sub still get the 600W? I've been out of the game way too long!!

The plywood MIGHT work depending on what type of wood it is. i have a box building DIY in the tutorial section where i use *edit birtch plywood. as long as the grain is consistent and there isn't large gaps between the layers you should be fine.

the stuffing is just normal pillow/quilt batting you can buy at any fabric/craft store.

1.2 is a after the sub measurement.. ultimately you want to aim for at least 1.5cf total volume. 1.8 is considered "ideal" for smooth lowend response.

the 4+4 coils will result in a 2ohm load, which is fine for the amp. you will get 600 watts. (run a cable to each + from the amp and each - from the amp)

however, if you can find the single 4ohm coil version, that would allow your amp to make more power still and run more efficient and controlled.

excellent, yet more questions answered!! Thanks for the quick response. There seems to be only 2 online retailers of the RSD subs here, one states dual voice coils, but they dont call it the RSD12d. Going to have to hunt around for it!
Thanks, I'll no doubt be along with more questions on setup shortly. In fact one last one!! Which would you say is better, a single 2 awg cable for my comps and sub amp, or twin 4 awg? They are both going to the rear, will it make much difference?

the subs come on only 2 configurations. a single 4ohm and a duel 4ohm. so if it is listed as a dvc, it is definitely the 4+4.

the power cable is mostly a matter of choice and availability.

either option will provide plenty of power to the amps.

the duel 4awg cable will likely be cheaper.

the 2awg to a distribution block will provide more flexibility in the future if you wanted to add an additional amp or accessories. (plus it will look flashier...although you will then have to find a place to mount it)

if it were me installing this, i would go with the twin 4awg runs

ah OK. I didn't know if it was frowned upon to have the components running off the same power cable as the sub, but I suppose at the end of the day, what ever cable it runs down, its all being fed from the same source.
