RSD 12 in an Infinite Baffle Install?

Has anyone tried this yet? Ive got a new RSD 12dvc coming in the mail and I'm not too keen on using a heavy box (1.8ft3) in the trunk of my car if I dont have to. Ive read about other people using IB setups with great sucess but I havent heard of anyone using an RSD...

Im kind of jumping to conclusions here but from what Ive seen subs that like large sealed boxes seem to do well in IB setups. Hmmm. Maybe I get to be the first guy to try it?

FYI It'll have 425 watts rms on tap.

Any input's welcome!

i think you will be the first! my car isnt very IB friendly (it would be a serious pain) or i would give it a go.

the specs all point to it being a good candidate for it

I have thought about doing this as well but me doing anything with my car or car audio for that matter for the last many months has been the last thing on my agenda.

Dang it! I hate having to be the first guy! :D

Ive got a prototype setup ready to go into my Girl's 07 Civic Si 4dr that involoves a infinite baffle 12in ED EHQS driver with 254 watts rms. Differnt drivers for sure but it should gave me an idea I guess. Once again light weight and SQ bass. She likes to get squirrly with it and didnt want to weigh it down. Guess Im on an IB kick... All the reviews Ive heard people just love them though. However I wonder if ive got enough cone area wit hjust one 12 to be satisfied.. Guess I'll find out.

VW337- Still got it? I had a 20th GTi for a few years, blue with a 6sp. lotta fun! Fit in pretty good down here in Eugene.

the impezza should be pretty easy to incoreate the 12 into an IB setup.

you can bolt a baffle to the 1" square tube steel that supports the back seat fairly easy. and then just deaden the hell out of the rear deck

Nope sold it off......the payments + insurance + gas, just to drive it for a month didn't fit into the budget any longer. Bought a MKII GLI to replace it, had the motor gone through, waiting on the funds for a stand alone ignition/fuel system, then gonna toss the already waiting SC on it. Hoping for upper 200's for HP when done. With the motor work done the GLi is quicker to 60mph than the 337 was and it handles/rides better as well.
