Hi, i have a rockford 12" power T1 2x2ohm 600wrms powerhandling and it works fine, but will i be "happy" if i change to a xenon 10" 2x2 ohm?
I really like PG stuff and it will be nice to have a car whit only pg speakers and amps... but will the xenon play loud enough? plz tell if its any positive or negative with the xenon..

Both subs are geared to play very different frequencies.

The Rockford is set to play high bass frequencies very loudly. It has a boomy sound, and will be loudest overall because of the larger cone area.

The Xenon is set to play LOW bass frequencies very loudly. It has a very clean musical response, but there is VERY LITTLE upper bass... so you need to have some speakers up front with good midbass. Most properly installed 6.5" components will be good enough.

If you can find one, a PG RSD 10 or 12 would be better I think. It plays both low and upper bass, and has a very nice musical sound to it.

imo you should skip on the xenons...they won't provide the response you are after

and rsd12 or RSDc 12...will

12 to a 10... is a change in itself

^although the xenon 10 plays lower then most 12s out there

hmmm oki... but what is low bass frequencies? 60hz 80hz? the rockford receive up to 80hz -24dboct, I newer ever play hardrock/pop/etc.. always playing psy/progg trance maby hiphop/RnB, will it be that bad? the thing is that a almost made the deal

hmm... rsd it is then! 10 or 12"? the 12" demand so big box .. hope the rsd be suitable to my db hunger
difference between rsd-rsdc? cant find any rsdc but rsd =)

I have the rsd first i was a bit doubtful, it´s looking a littel "weak" ... but anyway i had a factory box for a old JBL 12" (Junk But Loud) the box is like maby 30L, small like hell but i was so exalted to try it! (the box i construct -ing? is taking to much time:(, L in Cubic fet i dont know sry) no line driver and no basscube, and i was impressd.. its musical and powerful, special in that small box.. i´m kind of missing the heavy "boom boom" from the rockford but i havent try it on "high gain" soon when my new box is ready i WiLL

i think the SQ i hear is becuse that xxsmall box its in! maby its going to be equal to the rockford in the SPL (about 75-80L) box.. future will tell..

The SQ you hear is because of the woofer... the small box will make it sound worse actually. Once you get it in a bigger box it will sound even better, and play louder too!

I have a pair of HX2 (12", 500w rms) of rf, I don't use them anymore, they don't give me the sound that I want. RF plays verry loud, but the quality of the bass, njah, don't like it!!!

i think you will be happier with your new pg, maybe a little less power, but it will sound better

^yep. you will want to find a box around 40 - 50 liters sealed75-80 is to big unless you are porting it

oki, then i have great expectation´s.. i use to prefer sealed but the box is going to be ported.. so its going to be my first ported box, maby i find a Camera ^^, if so I post the image´s =)

The install is not done yet. but its "up and running" , not pushing it hard at all, have to play it nice and easy the first maby 10hour´s or somthing.. but its sound real nice in the car and i dont get the point with having a 600Wrms rockford power any more, maby becuse the rockford was in a sealed box? ... thanks bfowler for recomending the rsd

And a new toy is shortly in my hands rsdc124 =), the 2 zpa´s is going to be walldecoration.. and the rsdc is gonna get a 1200.1 xenon instead,

I have stript the car for a paint job and did also take down the interior,
asphalt carpet in all doors, trunk?(baggage), roof! alot of plastic panels did get asphalt too.
"peak off" at the door side´s, stupid me only buy 1L (0.3 gallon) so its not covering that good (the most expensive 0.3 gallon of fluid I ever gonna purchase)
The hatshelf <-- straight translet from swedish .. anyway the evil stuff att the rear thats keeping all the noise in the trunk is stript, so a toning at the rear windows (black plastic) to cover the hole is a must..
alot of bad neighbor´s in the hood..

thats sounds like a winning setup to me. that rsdc will love the power of the xenon1200.1
