whats the better overall sub: PG RSD 10 or IDQ10 d4 ver2

Post by gentlejax2 »

I got them both but havnt hooked up my new system yet....I dont have the sub amp yet....

I need to get rid of 1 of them....

Heard good things about ID and used some ID before...sounded better than they look....I guess thats what matters most heh...

I am going to run about 400-500 on either or less depending on which amp I use...but which amp I use is going to be determined by which sub I keep...

I dont know which to keep....

so I guess I need some advice or opinions on which one you guys like more and why...

I know its going to depend on my personal install but I wanted some experience from others as well...

I will not be able to hear either one till next week...

thanks
Mike

What kind of box and what size are we talking about? Also, what kind of music do you listen to and what kind of sound are you after?

size box...1 cubic foot or less....

music....rock...mostly

sound....good....

amp.....Rubicon 502 or memphis mc500d...depending on sub....

ID sub is either 2 ohm or 8 ohm..

RSD is 4 ohm period...

I can use the Rubicon for either......and the memphis also...

Rubicon is more favorable.....for quality but memphis is a class D for efficiency..

Brandon compared it to the IDMax actually, which sounds quite different to the IDQ (at least the v2).

The IDQ is a very different subwoofer. It's more efficient, and plays more in upper bass regions. The RSD is more for lower bass. Both subs are very musical.

For Rock, you might end up preferring the IDQ.

In your case I advise IDQ 10 v2 they play surprisingly low and as mentioned are a very efficient sub while remaining very accurate.

go that route as it takes very little airspace.
I think we've established that "Ka Ka" and "Tukki Tukki" don't work.

X2!

IDQ series subs play very accurate and very detailed. Hard to really beat a more musical sub for the price.

Actually I have a pair of Dual 4 ohm RSD 10's... They cant be just single 4 ohms..
PG Phorum is like a box of empty chocolates. Nothing to appreciate and no satisfaction.
