PG Bandit Info

Does anyone have a link to or a copy of the Bandit literature that was on the PG website, I can't find it anymore.
Also anyone know if there are schematics available for them incase the one I just bought turns out to be a doorstop.

Normally they don't, and I am sure you were requested not to redistribute those when you got them....

In my last year electronics I have to build something practical. I want to build an interface between the zx amps and a laptop, so I can read several things of the amp on the laptop (voltage, is the amp on, how hot is the amp). I want to use the RPPD output to couple the amp to the laptop, but before I cut the wires I wanted to be shure that I don't cut something vital, so I wanted the schematics. the main dealer (how do you say that?!) of europe is located in belgium, I've send him an email and he has send the schematics to me.
he didn't ask not to distribute the schematics, but I will not release them, because it wouldn't be nice of me to play with such a nice guy (I got the schematics in 4 houres!!)

That was really kind of him to do that for you
The RDDP schematics are on the web and here on this forum with all the outputs you could need to build a interface with. You should not have needed the the amp schematics for this project, but I can see why you would have asked.
The RDDP pinout is pretty straightforward and you would have had to alter the signal feeds inside to get a direct temp readout. How did your project work out ?

Next thing I am after now is the correct font and size for the label plate, The vinyl is mostly off my one and I would like to get it redone correctly.

I needed the schematics, because I want to take power from the amplifier to drive the temptransistor. I could just use the voltage meter and put it on the powersource, but there are alwayse powerreducers for several components in the amp. Now I can check where I can tap power for the temperature transistor.
the amps will be located in a small box (stealth installation). the 'black box' wich will run the hole project will run a fan that is based on the temperature of the amps. when the amps start, the fan isn't goint to work, when it's becoming hot, the fan wil start...
several things could be added, we will see how much time we have
the project hasn't finished yet, I'm only at the beginning of it because the project starts in a week (after the finals). I hope it will be a succes, because then I can use it in competitions, wich is offcourse a verry nice option

Also out of interest, what is the going price for a bandit, I know I got a deal, but should tell the insurance company a replacement value

Prices seem to fluctuate so much. Not necessarily for just the Bandit or anything but all old school PG. A couple years back, stuff was apparently going for quite a bit less. Now, the market has picked up again.
I'd say $300 is probably "in the zone" right now, but since this stuff can't be purchased new, it's going price is dictated by demand on the used market.

Ok, cheers for that, and thanks for the other help too.
Ones last thing has anyone got the font for the name on the id plate, I desperately want to have mine redone exactly correct.
