I cant sell my mps2220. I just cant.

Every time I think about it I realise there will be absolutely and utterly no replacing it.

I also cannot afford to buy a psu for it, so I had the idea of getting a smallish dry cell battery and a charger, itll cost me less than about 90 quid and will run the system I have planned.

I plan to keep the Eclipse point reference 6x9s, my infinity DIN unit from the 04 tib and the mps, and build some small birch enclosures for the speakers mounting them up on the walls in my new house (in England).

I wont be able to play any bass whatsoever as mum lives in a very posh upmarket area, and I dont want to cause her any trouble..

So how long do you reakon that listening to this at a very normal volume (like the radio and shit) that the battery will last? ?I will probably build some kind of relay so that the charger comes on overnight to replenish the battery..

As I say, Im not talking much louder than the volume of a TV.

So you want to run it in the house? It wouldn't draw too much current... a small powersupply should be enough, and it would be cheaper than a car battery.

dude, for 90 bucks you could just get a moderate receiver and power the speakers with that.

A power converter/inverter costs about $75.00 at radio shack. 10 ampere unit should do good. I got one off of a friend of mine. Get one before you head over. Unless they run off of a different voltage in England, Lucky bastard. I want to go over there so bad some time.

Mum's house? Yikes!!

220 VAC in Britain.
I support the AC/DC inverter recommendation.
With the minimal volumes you are indicating, current is a mute issue. 10A DC is sufficient.
Just don't be coming home from the pub half liquored and crank the tunes!! 8)
1. You'll roast your inverter.
2. Mum will evict your sorry ass.

THE SOLUTION; a BIG inverter.
- does not get fryed when cranking up the volume
-you can put it behind your door so mum can't get in to spank your ass
-toss your 40kg. inverter around every day, and grow muscles so that NOBODY can spank your ass anymore.

 No, but that's what I payed for it alright.
I've got two like these; no battery can provide this power as stable as they do!
[They have to feed the three amps in my home setup].
And I DO crank them up alright....
