HELP!! Any Ideas?

Post by thedeal7235 »

if u look at my pics , my work truck had a 600 ti bridged to my 2 4ohm dvc subs in a downfiring box, and a 400 ti running my one set of 6.5 components; i recently acquired another 400 ti and i want to use a 400 ti for each sub, any ideas how i should wire them, remember they are 4ohm dvc, right now they r wired  series/parrell, that way the 600 ti was seeing 40hm bridged, if i wire each sub, individually in parrell that equals 2ohm, but pg 2 and 4channel amps make full power at 40hm bridged, any suggestions? should i keep them individually wired at series/parrell, which equals 8ohm, then bridge down individually to each 400 ti to equal 4ohm bridged??? not sure on this, but my brains fried at this point, so please help, thanx christian

i don't think you would gain anything by wiring the 400.2's at 2ohms VS the 600.2 at 4 ohms....the power increase is negligible, and the currant draw is quite a bit more.

and you definitely wouldn't gain anything over the 600.2 by running the 400.2's at 8ohms, you would be running less power.

if anything i would say sell both 400.2's and buy a 800.1
then run the 600.2 to the fronts.

hmm, never thought of it that way??!! as far as the current draw , i have a gel battery in the inside cab, so ihave enough volts, r u sure, if i wire them to ohm, individually, once i bridge down, individually the amp wont see 4ohms?????

i didnt meant the currant draw would nessicarly be a problem, it will just be more then the 600.2, so why draw more then you have to?

if the are duel 4ohm subs (4 + 4), they can be wired to 2 or 8 ohms idividually, and when in a pair, wired for 1 or 4 (or 16...but honestly :) )
