subs-rsd vs. titanium regulrs

Post by thedeal7235 »

what does anyone out there think; since i replaced my sub amp(400ti) with my 600ti in my work truck, downfiring subs, that r currently rf p2dual 4ohm, they sound sloppy, eventhough they r rated at 250rms, 500 peak, so what does anyone suggest as far as replacement-thanks for any all replies- rsd or regular titaniums?Christian

what do you listen to?

both are about the same overall volume.

the ti's are punchier, the rsd's play lower. the ti's have a smaller box spec, the rsd's are lighter weight. the ti's want more power.

just my super fast pro/con analysis

I've got 4 12" Ti's and they hit real hard and tyt. Abit different I know but a 600Ti should power a pair of 10's pretty good either way.
Those tender little burgers with them little, itty-bitty grilled onions that just explode in ya mouth like flavor crystals every time you bite into one.. just makes me want to burn this muthafuka down.... Come on, Pookie, let's burn this muthafuka down!!!

i saw where a guy on ebay is selling refurb. titanium 10's, but i also saw the rsd in person once, at a local shop, and they seemed..., not to hurt anyones feelings, rreal loose and flimsy looking, almost like alum. for the cones, and yet they were extremly light, i know looks can be deceiving, however the rf p2 10's have seemed to serve there purpose upto this point, with only 300-400rms to them; but the 3 diamond d6s in my a4 hit sooooo hard(ported) off of my 1200.1, just wanted some opinions from u guys out there; even on ebay the rsd's arent too expensive, so still not sure, maybe the regular titaniums, cuz it seems like i keep adding more powwer, no room for diamonds, the console downfiring box is sealed, tehres just no way, at least for now, i can port it!!!!?

No hurt feelings :)

It should be noted however that a lighter driver is good indication of a more efficient driver. Also, if I recall correctly the stiffer the cone, the better. PG has used carbon fiber before, perhaps they feel the alu coated polypropylene has better properties now.

Of course none of that means anything unless you like the way it sounds.

no offense taken, the rsd's DO look extremely underwhelming....don't let them fool you.

i would personally reccomend the rsd10's....they will easily play an octave lower then the ti's, are more efficient, and more the quick enough for any of the dance music i have listened to.

the small magnet will give you a little more room if you are mounting them down firing in the center console also
