Tested power of a Ti600 or 400?

Just wondering if anyone knows what the PG Ti600.2 or the Ti400.2 does at 2ohms bridged? RMS power.

I haven't used test equipment to get an accurate measurement of max unclipped power but I would guess you'll get around an extra 100-200 watts out of the The Ti 2 channel amps when bridged to a two ohm load. This is a pretty minimal gain compared to what most people are used to seeing from PG amps by dropping the load due to a regulated power supply in the amp. The current draw will go up considerably though and you'll put additional stress on the amplifier and possibly encounter thermal issues (especially with the Ti600.2) so I recommend loading those amps to 4 ohms mono.

The PG site used to have a FAQ Page that talked about this. As Jed said, the power supplies will not allow the amp to pull more currant (thereby creating heat) then the Heat sink can dissipate. So the gain by running them at 2ohms is pretty minimal. IIRC the FAQ said about 15-20% more power is about as much as you can expect.

My new bench arrives tomorrow. One third is a stand alone test fixture with lab grade power supply and dummy loads with a sig gen and O-scope dedicated to amp testing.
Give me a week and I will be able to do a side by side evaluation of output power for you.....C

I'm still thinking about finding an amp thats made to run at 2ohms for my sub since I plan on keeping the stock battery/alt.
