I wonder if these would be a good replacement for my rear deck stock speakers....
Do these just produce bass?

Rear deck stockers? Yikes!! Are you using an aftermarket amp?

20-20Khz is the secified freq response, but I would run them using signals between 75 & 600hz (MidBass).

They would be far more effective if directed toward the cabin, vice the rear window. Yes, you would hear a huge difference, however, these units need a healthy amp to perform properly.

I've never run a set of these, but hear great reviews on them. That's a hell of a good price. I just may grab a cuppla pairs myself.

I am running Ti 5 mids in the rear doors off of my stock amp. They sound great... just right for rear fill.

I am tempted to try a pair. See how they are against some Mach5 MLI-65's.

Wakeup finally convinced me SB was dead. And I still have love for the PG. Only thing left is the Bass Cube, but the remote is not working. How you doin'?

Pluggin along I suppose. A bass cube remote is a hard thing to come by now a days. PG has been sold out of them for a while now. So, how about a run down of the current system?

Haha, it is a mess. The Mercedes is in need of getting everything pulled, and the daily scooter civic has been the SSA test mule. We have another prototype on the way.

8053 is in the mercedes, 880prs in the scooter, but past that everything is a mess. Running the shop and having a 2 year old leaves zero install time.

I have Seas textiles, and Mach5 MLI-65's waiting to go into the scooter. Was thinking about swapping out the Orion 8004 for a Sundown SAX-100.4. Also working on finding a good TL design for an Icon 10 for the scooter. And then the 3 way bugaboo got me to thinking about Hybrid L4's in the scooter too. The Orion 2500D is still the sub stage work horse, but I should step down to the SAZ-1500D for daily needs.

For the mercedes, a ZED Gladius Burr Brown and Deuce Burr Brown, are sitting in the wings until I get the doors redone and new mids and highs glassed in the doors. All old Orion needs to get pulled out for now.

Explorer is empty except a ZED US Acoustsics 2075 and some FNQ comps. Sorry for taking the thread way off course, but the PG Ti6 mids might be a possibility for the scooter with the Seas Textile neos.

You should try a new RSDc in one of your rides! I would love to hear our guys' opinion of it! We should probably try to find a way to get one over to Lloyd too, I'm sure he could put it through it's paces!

Anywho, good to see you over here! Stick around, it's kind of a fun place!

Seeing that I own a little sub woofer company, it goes against it if I were to run PG subs. ;) But it would be nice to do another subwoofer challenge and we would provide an Icon. The Icon should fair well against the RSDc. We have two more model lines in the works, but are held up until we have enough capital. :(

Denim on your remote for Bass cube, you might ask 1moreamp or Eric D (Doc fosgate) to see if they might be able to fix it...I dont know their rates, but they both are good guys, and may be able to do some magic.
Especially since the availability on those are not easy to come by.

Yep, I can see the problem there, but I was just talking about trying one out. You guys have a lot of experience with a lot of different types of equipment and I would love to hear your opinion of one. Maybe when my credit card cools down I can get one and send to you guys for some testing. I think it would be cool to get a bunch of different opinions on this beast!

That is a good idea. Could do a review for AudioJunkies. The great 12 challenge of a few years ago was very informative. But those guys did a ton of work and afterwords got very little support, so I am hesitant to try another test. But since there was an 8" test and a 12", we could try a 10 or 15, but this time around have much fewer entrants, and have more focus on sound quality and less on output. Only problem with the 10" idea, is that with the demand lately going to larger and larger subs. 18" models are selling at record numbers for smaller internet brands.

I am interested in the RSDc, and how it compares to the Xenon subs. As of late it seems PG has been doing a little more on the appearance with the flared magnet boot and bi-level gasket face and new basket design. With the Icon, we did not have the budget to do such things so it is very stark in appearance (black on black). I wish PG provided more T/S params. on the RSDc, would give me a better idea as to the design and goals of the driver. We (SSA) have plans to do a lower power line that would be in the same ball park as the standard PG RSD.

Side question, are their any Exile Audio fans here? I ask because of the PG connection. There high line driver is interesting. All of their subs are high Qts drivers and higher Xmax then average. I am not a fan of their plastic covers on the amplifiers.

yeah....me too. i talked to morgan about that. he says its too risky for a new company like that to jump right into the good stuff with the audio market the way it is.

We are the same way. But for us, money is the major factor, not to mention I know when experience is needed that I don't have yet.

I'm running Exile comps and a slim line sub in the FJ right now. I like them, but can't wait to get a new HU so I can really make the adjustments that need to be made.
