With new decks that have sub outputs do people still use crossovers?

I know that sounds stupid but I think I ran into a stupid person earlier and it was contagious.

I have sub out on my cheapy HU but I run all PG and I like the adjustments I get with my PG stuff so ..I be stupid and not use my deck crossover..

I would tend to think its all a matter of choice at the moment of install, but I can toss another HU in in 5 minutes and not need to worry about my system setup to much, as its all hardwired in back, just connect 4 RCAs, and VIOLA ! a new HU in quick and easy... :)

I just looked, front and rear are 12 and sub is 18. 18 is the same as audio control I think.

If I was you I should use the HU. with x-over slopes of 12db on your front and 18db on your sub you can play with the system so that the sub sounds like it's comming from the hood of your car!

just play with the phases and you will see
some white pg shit in my thrunk, love it!

i used both to get a gradual then steep roll off.

the digital crossover in my kenwood is set at 60hz, (18db) then the crossover on the xenon is set for ~80hz at 24 db
