dont bother with a 4" and 5" basically counter productive, either will be able to drop that low and both play pretty much the same midrange fr.
THus I suggest
8-4-1
8-5-1
61/2-4-1

or you want to be different you could...
go with some horns and 8-10 midrange/midbass driver.
Good read on eca recently about the ideal sized midrange. Winslow and Kevin K made a damn convincing argument for why a larger midrange in better.

3rd. forget the 5-4-1. if the biggest speaker you can fit in there is a 5, then just go with a 5.25 comp set.
but a rsd6 isnt much bigger then a 5.25 really....i might work

OK, so I think Ishould be able to do 6-4-1 without much problems
True a 8-4-1 would be great
either way, what drivers would you suggest?
good SQ but not on the pricey side

im not sure who makes a good 4" set, but ywhat you COULD do is buy a rsd 6" set
then run the 6 as a dedicated midbass, then mate the leftover tweet with a good 4" mid and use the leftover RSD passive crossover...

The older Boston Acoustic 4.5 ProSeries was 4" component. I never have use the 4", but I liked 5.5's & 6.5's. The 4" midbass atleast looked beefy.
