When amp has no output-what actually happens internally?
I have an old zx450, it constantly goes from overload to protect, with no output; I know I cant fix this myself-but, what actually happens, goes bad internally, when this occurs? how do the techs fix it etc????? Thanks guys-Christian
There could be hundreds or maybe thousands of reasons why your amp would do this.
Based on my experience which is really not that extensive (I have only been fixing amps a few years now), the most common failure is a shorted output transistor. When one of these shorts out, it draws maximum current from the power supply even without a speaker connected or a signal running through the amp.
