Bleh. Foiled again.Eric D wrote:Maybe, with the gains set low and with fan cooling.

I had found a DVC 2ohm sub and wanna squeeze everything I can fron a 275. Im extremely space limited and weight conscious or Id just get monster amps.1moreamp wrote:nutxo wrote:Will an MS275 run 1ohm mono without killing it?
Ahh and why do you even need to run a 1 ohm load ?? Sorry but I feel that 1 ohm loads are for comp cars
So why 1 ohm ???
a ms-275 running 4 ohms mono can over heat and shutdown under the right circumstances.
now if you place a MS-275 in a MS-2125 sink with fan cooling I think your 1 ohm rating could be run for a while, with only issue being over current condition to be dealt with....

I have 2 ms275s.. I was not aware you could have seperate amps run seperate coils on the same sub. Would you have to set the gains with a DMM?1moreamp wrote:nutxo wrote:I had found a DVC 2ohm sub and wanna squeeze everything I can fron a 275. get two Ms-275's one for each 2 ohm coil it should blast even with low gains and the two MS-275's could fit in a shroud if you can find one.. just a thought...C

But at least he could get the amps to run for a while longer than running a single MS-275 at 1/2 ohm per channel load like he was talking about. I have seen others run two Xenon 600.1's into a 12 d elite with dual voice coils.
now if I was him I would only consider a class d amp like those made by PG for the load he wants to run. The amps cost less and live longer, but I am thinking in a perfect world again aren't I ??...![]()

Im not really gonna do that I think. Im gonna keep the 2 ms275s and get rid of the 2125 and 2220. Im not into huge sound, just a good solid old school system.
Besides, my car got a knock today and Im lookin at rebuilding an engine. Need to keep this kind of on the cheap.
