At what ohm does the amp safely put out the most power?

I have also a question for you guys. how does the 12d sound like?!

I mean, I had first a JL audio 15w3 v2 wich sound nice to me, now I'm running with a single 12w6 (not 12w6 v2!!), wich sound nicer then the 15w3!

should the elite 12d sound a bit like the 12w6 or do you say it's more for the pressure that you by the 12d...

well i finally installed the box i built and its seeing four cubic ft

tuned at 32 hz

it drops so much low end that its amusing....not what i expected.

probably because i ran one 2125 to it but when it hits a low note

its like holy shit...

doenst even sound like a 12. sounds alot larger.

i am gonna try to run more power to the woofer to see how much more crazy its gonna be.

if you want more low end output then the elite will do just fine.

if you do it in the 2.75 musical box you will notice it will dump more then the 12 w6 or the 15 w 3 ( i had both in my time)

the only reason i put my elite in a larger box was to keep my two port
lengths short.

to answer your question, if you run the elite bridged off of your 1507

it will try to produce a crap load of power, do it in series because if you actually burn the pwer supply on that alpine it will leave a hole in the board and its not servicable...

they dont recommend any lower then a four ohm load.
we ran 1507 at two ohms and never had a problem but again alpine
dont recommend it.

also the elite in parallel will be about 1.2 ohms

done it today.

i would buy another 1507

couple cheap on ebay right now and run two to the elite

safer

I used to run 2 12d elites with an rsd 1200.1 on each. S--t was tight : ). Check out the pics on my cardomain page, the link is in my signature...sadly the setup is no more but I love to remember it...I miss it big time.

Those subs hit crazy low...and I didn't even have a perfectly designed enclosure(which I wish I did...but the fabricators were horrible)...I love those things man.

I still have one 12d sitting in my room that I hope to use eventually again in some application.

Glad to hear how much u like it. I think my favorite things in life are Phoenix Gold Audio and Volkswagons. Soon enough I will put the two together.
