Hi guys. I having a bit of trouble with my ti600.2 which I have been using for about 5 years now without any problems.

I am running it in 4ohm stereo to my Rainbow CMX components. And over the past 2 months I have had a problem with my right channel fading out. It would fade in and out periodically. So during one of these times I isolated that side from the rest of my system to take a closer listen. It seemed as if the components were only playing at 15% volume and the tweeter was very crackly. And then it would come back on as normal. So heres the steps I have taken to narrow down the possibilities.

1. I switched the Left and Right RCA. Problem didn't change sides, so RCA and HU are ok.

2. I switched the actual speaker outputs around, to see if the problem switched sides, And it did. It isn't happening as much but is still happening. So I think it is in the amp.

Any other Ideas. Do these amps have to go into PG for service?

sounds like bad pots or bad switches in the crossover board... Not much else does this and yes its fixable by PG and others. Have you tried adjusting the gain pots and crossover pots different ly and see if the problem goes away ??>>>C

No that I think of it.......When I placed th TI in my new car I switched the cross over from High pass to Full range and had a similar issue along with a high pitched buzzing, Which seemed to go away when I switched it back to high pass.

So the idea of a crossover issue seems to make sense to me.

Yeah it happens, usually from twiddling the pots too much, but I have heard of other little things causing it like a couple of resistors located jut beside the RCAs on the board burning open, and switch contacts getting dirty and making poor connection. Usually the switch can be clean by back and forth motion so can the pots also. But its best to consider replacement..

PG/Rodin still does these things with the only issue being your in Canada, so you might have to check with PG in Canada if there is such a thing. I get amps from Canada all the time but the issue is returning them through your customs. My last client had to pay $60.00 to get his amp back and I boxed his box with his shipping label to me inside so they would see it coming back,,, and they still charged him...Go figure...
