Welcome on board man. I don't have any experience with the Qx amps, I know they were an entry level amp from some years back.
Somebody will chime in with some practical knowledge

Welcome!!!!!
Pop those woofers out and see what ya got!!!!!
It'll thump good but it's in the lower end of the PG line-up. For a starter system I guess it'll do ya. Look for a matching QX 4 chan and power yer coax. Get a good HU though. It'll save ya some tuning time. When yer ready to spend alittle more on yer set-up and feel like you can take it to the next level, check out some rides and the work they've put into it. Now triple that cuz you only post pics after a few goes at it.
Post pic's of yer gear....

Here are some pictures of my set-up/ i know people dont reccomend the amp on the box but its 3/4 thick wood and its on a slant on the back so its not completly flat. and plus to me its not top of the line so im not worried unno.
so here we go.
- basworx box (3/4 thick) Sealed
- 2 12inch octane-r (guessing single voice coil. dont wanna open it up)
- QX series 500.1d amplifier
- alpine CDA-9815 deck
- Wire kit from future shop (4 gauge)

A suggestion if you are worried about mounting the amp directly to the box is to cut a small board the same exact size as the amp (amp rack) and some smaller slats. Mount the slats to the box then the amp rack to the slats and now it's not directly mounted to the box anymore. You can also use rubber feet in between the amp and box or amp and amp rack. I hope this makes sense.

the only way you can tell if they are dvc or svc at this point is find a DMM, or pop one out (its 8 screws, you can do it!)
i would guess they are svc if the amp came with it. (that way the amp can make its full power at 2ohms)
that amp is basic, but solid. the qx line was PGs entry line in the late 90's.
it is a great fit for those subs for power.
