ANOTHER SIMPLE QUESTION THAT I DONT KNOW

On a distrubution block that accepts (2) 1/0 or (2) 4ga inputs and has 4 outputs Like the Stinger SHDA4 here is the link:
http://www.hifisoundconnection.com/Shop ... 1242251238
Do all all four outputs work if only 1 of the inputs are used? Or do I need to have both inputs fed to have all four outputs working???
I'm trying to get a sense of what's going on as I'm sure they exist but where does two separate inputs of 1/0 or 4ga come into play.. Is that with a separate battery in trunk and two inputs would be fed from both of the bat's??? I feel bad about not knowing but just dont..
Pls & Thx Guys !

not sure on that one- im more familiar with pg zb series; on those u can operate a single amp off one out put-however it usually has 2 fuse holders, so if my amp says fused at 60amp- I put 2 30 amp fuses to it-I would think u could, but dont hold me to it???!!!!

Multiple connection points on the 'input' side are there to allow different wiring configurations. If you have more than one block, you can 'daisy-chain' them together using the input side as a junction block. Any connection on the input side will feed the outputs you connect with a fuse link.
The fuse block you highlighted is a special duty type that gangs 2 poles together so you can have an output rating higher than you might be able a get a high enough fuse for. The mini fuses maximum amp rating is 150 amp. If you have a need for something bigger, that block allows 2 to be combined totaling 300 amps.
Hope that answers your question about why there are multiple 'inputs' on a distribution block. But the dist. blk. you highlighted may not be what you are looking for unless you have a need for a fuse link higher than 150 amps.

Hey thanks for for rersponse(s) thus far.. Basically all I'm wondering is before I purchase is If i only have one input from underhood the battery to distro, would i be able to use all four (only need three actually) but would I only be limited to two of the out puts???
So in essence one input and all four outs are good to go???
I'd ask them but left 3 messages, and sent emailZZZZZZZZZ (meaning more than just one) and no reponse. So i thought i'd ask here..
Pls Thx

So that's yes, right .. just concerned as A friend of mine says "oh yeah I had the same thing and I had to hook two inputs to allow for all four outputs to be hot (with fuse-link)... Guess that's not the case... Thanks Bub!

Not sure what your friend was using but that's not typically the case. Just remember currant flows in all directions. If there is power connected to any single input on a block, currant will flow to anything else connected to it. Including screwdrivers left to lay across it, etc.

Those damn screwdrivers..
Hey great and I thank you.. I will let HIFI-Sound Connection know that you should get the commission of the sale as you were the one willing to assist versus their sales people... i'd be expecting a check from them real soon, .... NOT! sure they could care less, and If i could get else where I would... Sure I can but i'm kind of stuck now as i bought it off ebay and when i go to try to add/remove items from cart, it wont let me remove the one from eBay, so oh well>.. I will be sure to express my disapointment as to them not returning emailzzzzzzzzz and Phone Msgssssss. Makes no sense to me.. going on a wek and no repsonse.. but I bet if i place order, add to cart, and pay, the stuff will be here in 3 days. Probably a one-man-band there or something.. and just real busy... Dunno, oh well I thank you very much..
Guess that's what these forums of this nature are for... answer and bounce arounbd questions and such - Nice! -M
