i have a TI500.4 running bandpass with the front channels going to two sets of Focal components and the rear channels going to a set of TI 9" midbass. my problem is that i have a squeeling noise coming out of my right 9" midbass, i have unhooked the RCA's at the amp and the noise is still there, also if i turn the rear channel gain up the noise gets worse. I am wondering if there is something wrong with the amp or the speaker any input is appreciated

A buzzing humming noise with weak output? My ZX475ti had a noise like that and crossover was bad. It started with one channel and then to both rears.

is it just the potentiometer that goes bad or is it a more difficult process. I would like to try and fix it myself if it is a simple part to replace.

XO problem. sad to say it but probally one of the more common. My ZX475ti had a whole new XO board replaced when it went in for service

Heres the PG price list in PDF form
As a FYI the crossover is a bank of trim pots all the same value 8 or 10 deep all in a row. they are easy enough to remove, if your use to soldering on PCB assemblies.
Just turn them all the way in one direction,
then remove the shaft.
Then remove them all one by one.
then install the new ones, with them all set to the same set point either far left or far right, but all the same position.
Then reinstall the shaft and THEN resolder them all back to the board.
Thats it your done. Put the amp back together and enjoy your amp....
Good luck on your fix....C

Mine was probably a simple problem, but PG replaced the whole corssover board. It was the flat rate repair.
