well as far as a "beast" the 200.4 will trounce it. almost double the power and fan cooled.

weather or not you need an extra 100watts a channel is up to you.

the PPI is by no means a slouch of an amp

Dammit Mike, you'll have to wait until I power up the 200.4, I've owned a PC4100 and PC4800. Its one hell of a nice amp, I will say that when I swapped it with a pair of XS2500's the XS amps noticeably had more kick.

BTW, the PC amps (the larger ones) are all fan cooled as well.

I wouldn't say "night and day" but I was suprised to see with the exact same system (6 1/2 JL comps + pair of 12W6's) the XS amps felt more thump behind them. Either set was well more than enough power on the front stage, that's for sure.

Yeah, I didn't know HH had that amp either until he mentioned it in one day. Funny how one thing leads to another... I've been waiting patiently for spring to install it. Amp rack should be ready in a couple of weeks and I prewired it all last fall.

As for the PC4100 there is nothign wrong with one of those. Great amp, lots of power , flexible crossovers, and if PG didn't exist I'd still be running PPI amps .
